ACCOUNTABLE TO: Planning & Economic Development Director
Primary Objective of Position: Under general supervision, provides organizational and content management services for the County’s website, digital display boards, and other authorized media sites. Supports administrative tasks as needed in all areas of the planning office including: floodplain, planning, miscellaneous board support, environmental health, economic development, and geographical information systems.

Nature of Work: Performs administrative and technical support duties which require attention to detail, strong communication skills, timeliness, and technical expertise. Most work is performed in an office environment; however, individuals may be requested to work offsite and possibly during evening hours, or during emergencies, as well as attend public meetings and/or training or special events, which may require working after normal business hours.
Individual will be required to work closely with web content consultants to ensure certifications and software licensures are current and in line with new technology. Identifying proposed money saving options and efficiencies will be encouraged.
Personal Contacts: Regular communication with supervisor and employees; daily contact with county staff, the general public, as well as numerous public agencies, and other professionals is required. Communication may be in the form of email, face to face contact, telephone or a public forum.
Essential Functions: Work is primarily performed in an office setting involving prolong sitting, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting up to 35#s, and walking and climbing stairs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge: This position requires knowledge of Microsoft Office platform as well as web-based content computer systems. Must have a strong background in customer relations.
Skills: Collaboration, strong written and verbal communication, documentation, analysis, strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks with efficiency. Ability to quickly assimilate and extrapolate information.
