Content Manager - Web manages the overall curation activities required to produce content for web, mobile, and other platforms. Leads the research, coordination, and editorial work of curators and writers. Being a Content Manager - Web ensures that established branding and style guidelines are implemented correctly. Develops relationships with vendors and other sources needed to produce the quantity and quality of required content and negotiate terms and pricing. Additionally, Content Manager - Web designs methodologies used to analyze content consumption data and to define content needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Content Manager - Web manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Content Manager - Web typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position: Content Creator Student Assistant

    This is a part-time, student position, with hours not to exceed 20 per week. Continuation of this
    position is contingent upon satisfactory performance and project funding. This is not a state or
    federal position. The 20 hour per weekmaximum includes hours worked in all positions.

    Positions Available: 1-2

    Salary: $18-$20/hourly, dependent on the qualifications of the candidate.

    Timeline: January-June 2024 (Six months)

    Duties:Content Creators will be supervised by CCRP staff to work the Redwood Region
    RISE’s efforts as part of the statewide initiative “California Jobs First” (previously called
    “Community Economic Resilience Fund”, or CERF). Content Creators will assist in creating
    content andmessaging tomake Redwood Region RISE’s initiative accessible to a lay and
    practitioner audience alike, and help foster a shared vision for economic development in
    the Region.

    ContentWriting & Editing Support
    Workwith CCRP’s Communications Associate to create an interactive storymap,

    highlighting economic development projects and initiatives within Del Norte, Humboldt,
    Lake, Mendocino Counties and Tribal Lands

    • Conduct and transcribe interviews to highlight our diverse communities’ lived
    experiences, challenges and opportunities
    • Convert gathered information into accessible, engaging content for the website and
    social media channels
    • Workwith CCRP’s Communications Associate to optimize Redwood Region RISE’s web
    and social media presence
    • Assist in the dissemination of Redwood Region RISE’s “Regional Summary Part 1”
    • Obtain Informed Consent from those who are being interviewed
    • Support CCRP staff in project as needed
    • Other duties as they arise

    Workwill consist of the following activities:
    Work to understand Redwood Region RISE’s short term and long term communication

    strategies, objectives, and activities

    • Collaborate to optimize and implement communication strategies to increase site
    visibility, meaningful engagement and overall traffic
    • Create web, social media, and public communications content highlighting around 12
    innovative projects and initiatives from around the Region that align with RRRISE values
    and exemplify sustainable/carbon neutral development practices, or were created with
    substantial involvement from organized labor/workers
    • Workwith Communications Associate to create and implement a social media calendar
    • Collate proposed projects and opportunities generated by the Region’s four counties and
    32 Tribal Nations into an interactive storymap
    • Conduct around 12 interviews with community members and organizations throughout

    the Region to create web and social media content that highlights our diverse
    communities’ lived experiences, challenges and opportunities

    • Assist to optimize Redwood Region RISE’s website as the project develops, including (but
    not limited to) reviewing, editing, andwriting content using CCRP’s Content
    Management System
    • Work to ensure website content is up to date, accessible, ADA compliant, and visually
    appealing
    • Workwith RRRISE Photographer and Videographer to ensure written content is aligned
    • Measure andmonitor Redwood Region RISEwebsite and social media traffic statistics;
    • Maintain consistency in content and ensure alignment with the RRRISE brand strategies
    • Coordinate informed consent process with “subjects”

    KeyDeliverables:
    The Content Creator will be responsible for the following deliverables:

    • Weekly social media posts for Redwood Region RISE’s social channels, in alignment with
    communication and social media strategies
    • Assistance in webcare for Redwood Region RISE social media channels
    • Interactive and visually engaging storymapwith around 12 innovative projects and
    initiatives from across the Region that align with RRRISE values
    • Engaging web and social media content derived from around 12 interviews with
    community members and organizations in the Region that highlight community voices
    • Assistance with dissemination of Redwood Region RISE’s “Regional Summary Part 1
    Qualifications:
    Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel,Word, and PowerPoint
    • Familiarity with Google Drive, Dropbox and other cloud sharing technology
    • Preferable: experience working with ContentManagement Systems, particularly Drupal
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal andwritten
    • Experience writing creative content for digital purposes
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative style
    • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse
    workplace
    • Excels at operating in a fast paced and dynamic environment
    • Ability to take constructive criticism, make changes and grow
    • Ability to look at situations from several points of view
    • High comfort level working in a diverse environment
