Develops relationships with vendors and other sources needed to produce the quantity and quality of required content and negotiate terms and pricing. Additionally, Content Manager - Web designs methodologies used to analyze content consumption data and to define content needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Content Manager - Web manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Content Manager - Web typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Overview

    The Web Development & Operations Specialist is a role designed for individuals with experience building/supporting websites hosted on WordPress. This individual will be responsible for updating and maintaining 2-3 company held websites by leading projects in collaboration with our marketing and creative teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Update and maintain company websites across development and production environments
    • Provide technical support for company websites, key plugins and themes
    • Collaborate with marketing, creative and other teams
    • Lead website related projects throughout the year

    Website Build & Maintenance:

    • Development with WP plugins, themes & APIs
    • Perform quality control on projects throughout development phases/environments
    • Works with the support of internal web support team and Director of Product Development
    • Acting as lead internal support for bugs / issues related to assigned company websites

    Project Management:

    • Collaborate with internal teams including UI/UX & Marketing to create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
    • Communicating with marketing and engineering leads to keep the project aligned to goals
    • Organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple priorities under supervision.
    • Collaborate effectively in virtual meeting formats

    Requirements:

    • 3 years experience in web development
    • 1-2 years experience with technical troubleshooting.
    • Familiarity with Atlassian software Confluence / Jira preferred, but not required.
    • Experience with Pardot forms and email templates a plus.
    • Mastery of WordPress environments, modifications and dependencies (Themes, Widgets, Plugins).
    • Technical SEO implementation including load time performance optimization
    • Experience with common web coding languages (HTML, CSS, JS, PHP)
    • Experience using REST APIs
    • Comprehension of web-based technologies such as domain registration, DNS, SSL certificates, TCP/IP and basic networking
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently to meet expectations and deadlines
