MALKA is seeking a highly driven, hard working Assistant Video Editor / Media Manager to add to our team! We are a fast growing, bi-coastal team, working on amazing projects in film, commercial, and digital.The ideal candidate must be familiar with both Mac and Windows platforms, though will mostly work on Macs. They must have a strong attention to detail, and be very neat, meticulously organized, and very tech-savvy. Must be a good trouble-shooter. You will be given some light Premiere video editing tasks as well, with the possibility for future advancement into a video editor role. But your primary responsibilities to start will be organizing assets and projects, making proxies, using our Media Asset Management system “IPV Curator”, assisting editors and prepping their projects, technical troubleshooting across all departments, managing media on our server, and the archiving and recovery of projects and media files.
You will be taught most of these processes by your peers and supervisors, so no prior knowledge is “required”, but any previous industry experience is a plus. Must have a strong desire to learn, the ability to understand complex ideas and workflows, and a hard work ethic.
