Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

• Social Media
  
  • Utilizing analytics and incorporating unit goals, develop and execute an active social media strategy for Auxiliary, Health and Wellbeing clients, including platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Linkedln, YouTube, etc. (30%)
  • Supervise and manage a student social media team, providing guidance in their education and experiential development. (15%)
  • Collaborate with photo/video, design, and marketing staff/teams on incorporating social media strategy into ongoing marketing efforts and unit campaigns. (10%)
• Digital Advertising
  
  • Develop, manage, and track a digital media strategy for Auxiliary, Health and Well-Being ad campaigns, including paid social media ads, to ensure maximum return on investment. (20%)
  • Evaluate online marketing analytics for effectiveness and make recommendations for refinement. (10%)
  • Research and learn about new f01ms of advertising to ensure alignment with best practices and the highest return on investment for future ad campaigns. (5%)
• Other
  
  • Staff, attend, and/or assist in organizing coverage for a variety of outreach events. (5%)
  • Assume appropriate related additional duties to further the mission of the unit. (5%)

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a closely related field. One (1) year (12 months) of professional work experience in marketing, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related professional area. Demonstrated experience creating and managing paid social media ad campaigns.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of basic marketing concepts.
• Strong understanding of social media and its role in marketing communications.
• Strong written communication skills; excellent proofreading skills.
• Possess and demonstrate superior attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational and presentation skills.

Appointment Information

This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5004 - Marketing Associate position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 6/30/2023. Salary is commensurate with experience.
