Ulster BOCES is seeking a certified, accomplished educator with experience in educational technology & professional development as a Content Specialist in Model Schools for a full time, 10 month position. Knowledge of best practices for using and integrating educational technology in K-12 instruction and the ability to quickly learn new technology hardware and software is required. The ideal candidate would be a skillful presenter and coach who is flexible, detail-oriented, and able to adapt to changing priorities while developing multiple projects at one time. Travel within Ulster County is required. Fingerprinting required.
The chosen candidate for this position will be involved in the following:
Delivers professional development and conducts workshops for school faculty/staff on the effective and efficient integration of technology into the teaching and learning process
Designs professional development plans and develops course materials
Provides embedded coaching for teachers on the effective and efficient integration of technology into the teaching and learning process
Supports the development and implementation of district's technology plan
Provides input for the acquisition of the appropriate instructional technologies and applications
Knowledge of New York State learning standards and national technology standards
Develops relationships with administrators, teachers and colleagues

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide technical assistance and/or program delivery to participating districts on the development, delivery and assessment of programs in the specified area.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- To work in and for district(s) that request specific content service or on countywide projects.
- To be current on the Common Core Learning Standards and NYS Assessment System, specifically as it relates to the targeted assignment(s) of this position.
- To incorporate the use of technology for communication, record keeping and training and to stay current on technology tools that extend and support learning.
- To maintain a current level of knowledge that supports curriculum development and instructional improvement on the trends for the specific content area, including the development of on-line instructional modulars and courses.
- To develop a work plan with participating district(s) contact person or project administrator and BOCES supervisor.
- To provide demonstration lessons and staff training.
- To assume other duties as assigned by supervisor.
WORK SCHEDULE:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
NYS Teacher certification
5 years' experience as an educator or relevant service
Professional development experience
