Content Specialist, Sr. curates content used for a variety of web, mobile, and other platforms. Researches, coordinates, edits, and integrates the work of writers and designers to produce layouts that meet established branding and style guidelines. Being a Content Specialist, Sr. organizes content in a way that makes sense/is most useful for target customers. Stays up-to-date on best practices and make recommendations for content strategy. Additionally, Content Specialist, Sr. analyzes content needs and studies content consumption data to optimize content. Identifies and tracks metrics to measure the success of content curation efforts. Develops a schedule for updates, archiving, and ongoing production of content. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Content Specialist, Sr. occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. About this opportunity: NonStop Local Montana has an immediate opening for a person who loves social media, who loves to write, has a good grasp on grammar, isn't afraid to talk to people and is competitive. If this is you - we want you! We are looking for a Digital Content Producer to run our website and social media platforms. You don’t have to have any journalism experience (but it’s a plus); we can teach you how to be an awesome Journalist! You will be instructed on how to have good news judgement and create coverage on social media - to go along with our news content. You can work from either our Missoula or Billings newsroom, in one of the most beautiful regions of the U.S. - Big Sky Country!
Required Qualifications & Skills: Knowledge of and desire to participate in social media; Previous experience with a professional broadcast, print, or online news organization, either as a staff member or intern is a plus; Willingness to work overtime when necessary; Ability to adapt in a changing media and technology landscape.
Other Requirements: Passion and dedication to news; Ability to meet daily deadlines and work cooperatively with other staff members; Experience editing news copy and/or video.
