Content Specialist, Sr. jobs in Pittsfield, MA

Position Overview: As a Content Marketing Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping our content strategy and ensuring that our sponsored content seamlessly integrates with our editorial content. You will write, design & publish sponsored content and special sections that appear in The Berkshire Eagle. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and edit sponsored content to ensure it aligns with the brands voice
• Write, cultivate and edit content to populate advertising special sections i.e. Best of The Berkshires, Fall Home Improvement, etc.
• Paginate standalone articles and full advertising special sections in print, optimizing the user experience for our readers
• Publish all generated content online and promote on social media when required
• Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices for sponsored content
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to sponsored content and story pagination
• Uphold our commitment to transparency and ethical publishing in sponsored content

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in journalism, communications, or marketing.
• Proven experience in content editing and pagination, preferably in a digital media environment.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to maintain brand integrity in sponsored content.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong editing skills.
• Proficiency in SEO and keyword research.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and pagination tools.
