Additionally, Content Specialist, Sr. analyzes content needs and studies content consumption data to optimize content. Identifies and tracks metrics to measure the success of content curation efforts. Develops a schedule for updates, archiving, and ongoing production of content. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Content Specialist, Sr. occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Revit Content/Family Creator

  • Osborn Engineering is seeking a Revit Content/Family Creator. This individual will be an integral part of the design team and will collaborate with Engineers and Project Managers of various trades to accurately maintain and create Revit content for the project team. Primary focus is on Revit content and modeling with occasional BIM support.


    Osborn is a fully integrated multi-disciplined design firm that uses a specialized team approach to engineering projects. These teams are comprised of a staff of 300 plus professionals that provide designs for all phases of a wide range of projects. Osborn has specialists in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and life safety, technology engineering, transportation and commissioning.     Position Responsibilities:


    • Create and maintain parametric content

    • Create discipline specific BIM modeling content

    • Stay informed on industry standards and trends

    • Improve both existing and new content

    • Manage/create standards with shared parameters

    • Create content documentation for end-users and technical staff

    • Provide training for staff on BIM content

    • Perform other duties as assigned


    Additional responsibilities:


    • Set up and produce 3D models and 2D deliverables in Revit

    • Collaborate and coordinate internally and externally with other disciplines design-changes and model changes

    • Aid the project team in updates, model changes, and QA/QC

    • Ensure drafting and modeling aligns with standards and goals set in BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria

    • Accurately incorporate drawing mark ups from project team

    • Communicate with the internal BIM team to develop and manage modeling and deliverable standards


    Job Requirements/Qualifications:


    • Proficient in Revit

    • Parametric family building including STEP and STL to RFA conversions

    • Familiarity with Outlook and FTP software

    • Readily willing to learn new skills

    • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize multiple tasks

    • Work well individually and in a team environment

    • Complete work in efficient and accurate manner

    • Maintain positive attitude and good public relations

    • Excellent organization and time management skills

    • Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on project requirements

    • Working knowledge of design and construction industry workflows and priorities


    Preferred Experience:


    • AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud

    • Experience with the Parameter Service

    • Navisworks, Dynamo, and Revit API experience are a plus, but not required

    • Experience in a multi-disciplinary AEC office

    • Experience with BIM execution plans, levels of design, BIM contract documents, and BIM kickoff meetings
