Content Specialist, Sr. curates content used for a variety of web, mobile, and other platforms. Researches, coordinates, edits, and integrates the work of writers and designers to produce layouts that meet established branding and style guidelines. Being a Content Specialist, Sr. organizes content in a way that makes sense/is most useful for target customers. Stays up-to-date on best practices and make recommendations for content strategy. Additionally, Content Specialist, Sr. analyzes content needs and studies content consumption data to optimize content. Identifies and tracks metrics to measure the success of content curation efforts. Develops a schedule for updates, archiving, and ongoing production of content. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Content Specialist, Sr. occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Content and Social Media Specialist

    • Produce and post a minimum of ten (10) social media content per week, in an ongoing content publishing process, on the College of Nursing’s accounts.
    • Monitor the College’s social media channels at all times on your personal smart mobile device.
    • Ability to surface urgent requests via social media to the proper departments.
    • Track and monitor other organizations’ social media channels and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
    • Create regular reports to measure outcomes and progress towards the College’s goals.
    • Leverage the University of Arizona branding platform to create compelling content that communicates one or more of key messages for the College.
    • Adhere to both the University of Arizona and Health Sciences Brand Guidelines.
    • Create copy that aligns with the tone and voice of the University of Arizona brand.
    • Create the Dean’s remarks/script for College events, e.g., student welcomes, student award events, convocation/commencement etc.,
    • Keep the College’s Social Media Policy and Guidelines updated per the leadership’s direction.
    • Monitor social media forums and email inbox for brand communications and respond to comments as direct messages as needed.
    • Create content for, produce and lay out of our monthly College of Nursing
      e-newsletter which is sent to College Faculty & Staff, Alumni and Donors.
    • Oversee and manage production, proofing, and printing of brand-aligned research posters for our faculty, students and staff presenting at local, regional, national, and international conferences.
    • Produce content for several communications and marketing channels including press releases, website and digital copy, blogs, social media accounts, email marketing, digital advertising, video and more.
    • Distribute content on a variety of platforms including the College of Nursing website, social media channels, email marketing platforms and UA Health Sciences blog.
    • Manage and advance current social media outreach to increase engagement and participation.
    • Work with our marketing lead and digital media producer to create, produce and edit video content for promotional purposes.
    • Serve as the liaison for our College to the UA Health Sciences Office of Public Affairs and University Communications to support their media relations efforts.
    • Evaluate communications effectiveness to develop improved methods and processes; devise evaluation methodology and implement; analyze results and recommend and/or take appropriate action.
    • Serve as the primary initial point of contact for all media requests, including coordinating interviews, providing photos, and scheduling filming locations.
    • Serve as the listener for other social media profiles to develop ongoing best practices.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with faculty and staff to source story ideas and address communications needs.
