Position Summary:
This position exists to support the Marketing Department at Springbrook. As part of the marketing team, this individual will work closely with the organization’s Photographer, Graphic Designer, and Writer to assist in the creation of content that is fresh, engaging, and informative.
The Content Specialist produces communications and advertising content—both written and visual— that effectively represents Springbrook to its target audiences. This position provides project-specific administrative support to the marketing team, ensuring that the marketing campaigns implemented are as successful as possible.
This individual is a creative self-starter with strong writing and copy editing skill, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Content Specialist can handle a wide range of projects (including some graphic design and photography) with speed and efficiency.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships with Springbrook clients and staff to produce timely and engaging marketing content.
- Write new and relevant content for the Springbrook’s various social media platforms
- Research and prepare Springbrook news releases (news blog content)
- Suggest, research, and write articles for Springbrook Inspirations e-newsletter and magazine.
- Produce written content for use in a wide range of other marketing and public relations materials, including but not limited to, advertisements, brochures, reports, letters, and presentations
- Update website content (as needed)
- Use knowledge of, and remain familiar with, current graphic design artistry, concepts, and practices to produce simple marketing materials as needed.
- Attend events and functions connected to Springbrook to produce news content and take photos (as needed).
- Assist with the setup, facilitation, and completion of marketing events
- Assist with grant research and writing
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing & PR
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in relevant work environment
- Writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Familiar with current technologies, terms, and mediums as they apply to marketing writing, editing, and design
- Must be comfortable working with Adobe Creative Cloud products, including Photoshop and In-Design. Familiarity with editing software like Premiere Pro and Audition is excellent, but not required
- Excellent listening and interviewing skills
- Knowledge of standard graphic design principles and programs and page layout and printing practices and procedures
- Flexible and creative, highly organized and detail oriented
- Able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced, ever changing environment
- Able to remain focused, accurate, and organized even in stressful situations
- Can work under strict deadlines and prioritize and manage multiple tasks and respond well to changing priorities
- Must have a flexible schedule, including the ability to occasionally work on nights and weekends.
- Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.
