Continuing Education Director directs operations of the institution's on- and off- campus continuing education programs. Develops and implements strategies to attract and retain students and faculty. Being a Continuing Education Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a institutional officer. The Continuing Education Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Primary Purpose: Direct and manage the district’s special education program and provide diagnostic evaluations and report writing. Ensure that services are provided for students with special needs and individualized education plans are provided and followed to meet the needs of all students. Oversee ARD Process. Write and manage related grants and budgets and assure compliance with all state, federal and local requirements.
