    Responsibilities

    • Set the studio vision, strategy, and annual business plans (including budget) in alignment with JLG’s strategy and goals for sustained and profitable growth
    • Build a high-performance business unit that elevates outcomes for our clients, communities, and company through award-winning design
    • Achieve studio and company objectives by cultivating a high-performance business unit, increasing studio revenue and profitability
    • Effectively manage risk for the studio
    • Work in the abstract to distill solutions, prioritize, and provide direction
    • Drive influence; enlist and inspire others in pursuit of your vision
    • Leverage your credible voice to establish yourself and JLG as an industry-known expert to build market ownership and close sales 
    • Target and quickly develop client relationships based on studio plan through client intimacy, authenticity, and persuasion; consistently meet client outreach targets
    • Advance JLG’s integrated design approach to elevate design, expand studio expertise, and drive high performance outcomes 
    • Successfully manage projects in your portfolio as Principal-in-charge
    • Lead the studio team and develop talent to ensure growth and succession
    • All other duties as assigned


    Requirements

    • 10 years minimum post-licensure professional experience, with five years' experience working in the studio market sector; current architectural license/registration required
    • Demonstrated ability to establish a clear vision and to enlist and inspire others in pursuit of that vision through the creation and effective execution of strategy
    • Possess a credible voice in client markets and industry
    • Highly self-motivated and collaborative, with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and drive influence through authenticity and persuasion
    • Demonstrate a growth mindset, exhibiting team-oriented qualities such as interpersonal skills, ambition, and humility
    • Proven leadership capabilities, including capacity to manage difficult client or team situations/conversations through empathy and strong emotional intelligence
    • Advanced professional architectural knowledge, including programming, building science, life safety/building code, working field experience, and a demonstrated understanding of current project type trends and systems 
    • Demonstrated understanding of general management principles
