Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Planner that collaborates across departments and to provide leadership for the scheduling and organization of maintenance activities. This involves developing and maintaining predictive and preventive maintenance protocols, establishing and monitoring the work order system, and coordinating with Purchasing and Warehouse teammates for the timely supply of inventory, and other duties as assigned and as the project develops.

Nucor Steel West Virginia is Nucor's new sheet mill with advanced steelmaking capabilities. This is a greenfield project, which is estimated to be operational in 2025. The new steel mill will employ 800 full-time teammates producing up to 3 million tons per year at one of the most technologically advanced sheet mills. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling outages/shutdowns.
• Two years of experience with maintenance systems and procedures.
• Two years of experience creating corrective/preventative/predictive WO’s in CMMS platform
• Two years of experience managing projects in manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two-year degree in a related technical field.
• Experience developing maintenance systems for large scale greenfield, including BOM’s, Work Instructions, Critical Spares
• Heavy Manufacturing Industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Oracle or SAP Enterprise Asset Management
