Job Description: The Case Manager will link students with area employers to provide internships, and develop on-site training classes to support various adult education grants. Establish linkages to and engagements with the hotel and tourism industry and skilled trades employers, to support the youth and adults who participate in the Lockport, Medina, and Niagara Falls Literacy Zone Welcome Centers. The Case Manager is responsible for helping students develop professional plans for growth in new or existing positions. Duties and responsibilities include meeting with employers and students to discuss short-term and long-term goals for employment and advancement. Important functions include providing individual and targeted assistance with professional development and preparation for employment, identifying and connecting participants with education, skills training, work-based training and placement opportunities, and documenting all communications and follow-up reports. A bachelor's degree is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have considerable experience working in the hotel, restaurant, and/or skilled trades fields and industries, and candidates who have a base of existing connections with business and industry throughout Niagara and/or Orleans Counties. The individual should have or be eligible for certification upon hire. It is anticipated that an individual will qualify for certification with successful completion of fingerprinting and three workshops. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change. Anticipated Salary: $33.00/hour.
