GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Assistant II requires completion of 9 college units in early childhood education. The position requires basic knowledge of principles and practices for implementing age-appropriate child development and adult guidance in preschool environments. Requires knowledge of play facilitation and child development sufficient to assist children with individual and small group activities. Requires basic knowledge of and skill at using personal computers, and other equipment to record information, and send communications. Requires sufficient human relations skills to work cooperatively and exercise patience and sensitivity when interacting with students, staff and parents. English/Spanish Bilingual preferred.
