Contracts Administration Clerk prepares, maintains, and administers contract documents according to policies and regulations. Verifies that all required and associated materials in contract packages are in place. Being a Contracts Administration Clerk follows contract monitoring procedures to ensure documents are up to date and that contractual obligations are in compliance. Ensures that contract renewal dates are tracked and that applicable renewal documents are generated and processed. Additionally, Contracts Administration Clerk maintains contract records used to ensure compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Contracts Administration Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's (BA or BS) from an accredited university in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required. Must either currently hold and maintain Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification or be able to obtain it within 3 years. Two years of professional fiscal experience, preferably in a non-profit, is required.

    Preferred Experience & Education:

    3-5 years experience in grants and contracts management, financial and/or budget management is preferred. Desired previous experience includes:  financial analysis, forecasting and strategic planning to analyze and compile financial data and reports.

    Position Details:

    This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Fairbanks, Alaska, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations.  Remote within Alaska or out-of-state work arrangements within the United States may be a possibility. This is a full-time, Exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 80, based on education and experience.
