Typically reports to a supervisor. The Contracts Administration Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Alexander's Contract Services has been in business since 1967 and provides Utility products and services for numerous Utilities, Water Districts and Municipalities throughout North America. As the Corporation is expanding and continuing to grow, we are looking for a highly-motivated and professional individual to join our Meter Reading Solutions team based in Sandy, Utah. This individual will be an integral part of the manufacturing and administrative efforts to build and support our premier Utility Touch Read products, and, will coordinate the receiving, monitoring and shipping of the repaired and newly manufactured products.

    Responsibilities:

    • Participates in AMRS division processes such as Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control and Order Entry processing.
    • Prepares and provides input to, packages and ships corporate RFP and Bid response documents.
    • Monitors and manages warranty, and time & materials processes on repair products
    • Administers and maintains updates, additions and corrections to division support, warranty and equipment database.
    • Ensures the highest level of quality in packaging, user materials, appearance and performance in the final test stage of both repaired and newly manufactured equipment.
    • Maintains an attitude of professionalism, success and ongoing business and goal achievement.
    • Helps to manage customer expectations and contributes to a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Takes initiative to improve processes and contributes to a positive team environment.
    • Knowledge of:
    • Adheres to corporate policies and procedures.
    • Positive team participation concepts.
    • General system process knowledge and analysis skills coupled with good business practices.
    • Professionalism as it relates to dealing with difficult processes, team members, product education or skill acquisition.
    • Basic manufacturing and repair process operations.
    • Use of customer relation management (CRM) and database tools.
    • Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Power Point.
    • Google suite products such as Google Docs
    • Knowledge of Quick Books fundamentals
    • Principles and practices of good customer service.
    • Effective communication skills and methods.
    • Corporate policy and procedures, as well as, safety practices.
    • Knowledge of computers and modern office procedures and methods. Knowledge of applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and statistical databases a must.

    Ability to:

    • Communicate problems found while testing. Communicate test results clearly and effectively, orally and in writing.
    • Test feature aspects of manufactured electronic equipment based upon proper guidelines, test criteria and checklists.
    • Communicate effectively through email, phone and remote communication methods to clients, fellow employees.
    • Make correct decisions that are in conformance with corporate goals and policy.
    • Be a supportive resource to the team, technicians and AMRS management.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with company associates.
    • Anticipate issues and work out alternative methods to improve product quality testing, as well as, receiving and shipping department processes.
    • Learn new concepts, processes, products and procedures.

    Education / Training:

    • High School diploma required. Post high school education, prior receiving, shipping and basic equipment test and process management experience/training preferred.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years successful experience assisting in a quality, shipping/receiving and test administrative capacity, preferably in the electronic equipment services industry.
    • Depending upon total hours (part-time or full-time) this position offers internal advancement, medical insurance, 401(k), sick and vacation pay and performance incentives.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
