Contracts Administration Director is responsible for all activities in the organization's contracts administration function. Oversees the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and the administration of contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Director directs and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Additionally, Contracts Administration Director leads negotiations for complex or high-value contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to senior management. The Contracts Administration Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Information and Technology Services (ITS) is looking for an Assistant Director of Research Administration Systems to join the Enterprise Application System within ITS.
You will manage the delivery of the Huron Research Suite (HRS) and other applications in the Information Technology and Services organization within the University of Michigan. You will oversee the strategy, customer relationships, resourcing, staff development, and budget. You will direct the management team in the following area: setting team performance, strategy, direction and goals; coaching and counseling staff to accomplish goals, and overall responsibility of the Research Administration area. This is a member of the EAS leadership team reporting to the Executive Director of Enterprise Application Services.
