Contracts Administration Director jobs in Bakersfield, CA

Contracts Administration Director is responsible for all activities in the organization's contracts administration function. Oversees the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and the administration of contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Director directs and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Additionally, Contracts Administration Director leads negotiations for complex or high-value contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to senior management. The Contracts Administration Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Contracts Administration Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Department: Accounting 

    Reports to: Office Manager

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

    Process DMV paperwork

    Posting car deals

    Sending contracts to banks

    Daily Bank Deposit

    Responsible for Ca Deal compliance and verification of proper paperwork in deals

    Vehicle payoffs, Stock-In Vehicles, posting inventory

    Processing vehicle dealer trades/wholesales

    Maintain accuracy of Sales Tax Collected

    Facilitating the flow of paperwork with the Finance Department.

    Reconcile Physical Inventory and Flooring Stmt

    Maintaining appropriate accounting schedules

    Reconcile corresponding accounts


    Qualifications: 

    Must have Dealership experience

    General accounting procedure knowledge and experience

    Strong excel skills

    Attention to detail (particularly with typing and bookkeeping)

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities

    Strong work ethic

    Superior communication skills and customer service


     

    Education & Experience: 

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
