Contracts Administration Director is responsible for all activities in the organization's contracts administration function. Oversees the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and the administration of contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Director directs and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Additionally, Contracts Administration Director leads negotiations for complex or high-value contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to senior management. The Contracts Administration Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Contracts Administration Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. General Description:
As the Assistant Director of Development with a focus on Contracts and Grants, you will be maximizing partnerships within the community to customize proposals and engagement strategies. The Assistant Director plays a pivotal part in TRE’s mission to secure financial resources and forge lasting relationships within our community. By crafting compelling narratives and weaving them into our fundraising and partnership strategies, this position helps our organization connect with supporters on a deep and meaningful level. This position oversees all Contracts, Grants, and Program Evaluation while providing the foundation of research, data collection, and planning for the Development and the Community Engagement team and TRE’s competitive contracts and grants. This position works in collaboration with other Community Engagement leadership to provide strategic direction for the department. This position develops, implements, and improves on the competitive RFP strategy at TRE in order to increase the funding base. The position is responsible for engaging government, corporate, and foundation prospects through RFP and grant writing and management, prospect research, program evaluation, and relationship building. The position furthers this enterprise through identifying and prioritizing potential grant funded projects by facilitating the involvement of key stakeholders, data collection, and assisting with projects and proposals within the scope of work conducted at TRE. The position also works to establish a culture of learning for continuous improvement through program evaluation.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years of competitive contract and grant writing experience in a nonprofit or government organization with emphasis supporting development efforts. 4 years of experience in a fast-paced team environment with writing, scheduling, and tracking data. 2 years of experience in program evaluation. Excellent writing and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Evidence of taking initiative to complete projects and solve problems. Computer proficiency (MS Office). Experience working proficiently with donor/customer relations management systems. Experience working in inclusive and diverse environments.
Preferred: In addition to education and experience mentioned, a bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, or related field and 4 years grant writing experience in a nonprofit organization. Masters degree preferred.

Working Environment/Physical Activities: Office, community, commercial properties, and virtual environment settings. Moderate physical activity required. Frequent sitting and standing required. Manual dexterity, ability to lift and carry moderately heavy boxes and articles (10-15 pounds). Ability to talk and listen to staff and volunteers. A working vehicle, valid CO driver’s license (unless active Military family), and minimum insurance levels ($100,000/$300,000/$100,000 liability coverage) are strongly encouraged.
