Contracts Administration Director is responsible for all activities in the organization's contracts administration function. Oversees the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and the administration of contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Director directs and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Additionally, Contracts Administration Director leads negotiations for complex or high-value contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to senior management. Job Summary: Performs a full range of paralegal and advanced administrative duties in connection with the functions of the Legal Affairs Department. Provides legal and administrative support services to Legal Counsel, including drafting and reviewing contracts, corporate and regulatory filings, correspondence and other documents. Direct communication with management, physicians, outside counsel and other staff members. Coordinates, reviews and assists Legal Counsel with resolution of legal matters in areas of contracting, healthcare regulations, governance and other areas as assigned. Coordinates external and internal matters for Legal Counsel, including coordination of contract database.
Qualifications: College Degree preferred. A paralegal certificate or degree is required. Prior experience with healthcare contracts, healthcare regulations or corporate governance a plus. Proficient in MS Office and electronic calendars. Professional grammar required. Ability to relieve Legal Counsel of administrative details when appropriate. Multi-tasking and confidentiality required. Must have ability to work with changing priorities and work independently with "can do" attitude
