Contracts Administration Director is responsible for all activities in the organization's contracts administration function. Oversees the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and the administration of contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Director directs and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Additionally, Contracts Administration Director leads negotiations for complex or high-value contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to senior management. The Contracts Administration Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Contracts Administration Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key Responsibilities:  

    • Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
    • Payroll, reconciliation, and invoicing;
    • Generates and prepares hazardous waste labels;
    • Schedule, track weekly shipments;
    • Strong attention to detail;
    • Performs data entry work and other office related duties (e.g. scanning documents, filing, etc.);
    • Engages with, and responds to, customer inquiries.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Previous experience with hazardous waste shipping/materials;
    • Experienced with Microsoft Office;
    • Strong communication, typing and word process skills.
