Contracts Administration Director is responsible for all activities in the organization's contracts administration function. Oversees the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and the administration of contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Director directs and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Additionally, Contracts Administration Director leads negotiations for complex or high-value contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to senior management. The Contracts Administration Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Contracts Administration Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Small Form Factor Solutions (SFFS) Product Line is a fast-paced agile group within the Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) Business Area has an immediate need for an experienced Contracts Director to support the portfolio of programs, most of which are classified. LRASM and Dark Horse programs head this complex product line. SFFS has a multitude of customers, both direct to the Government and Prime Contractors. It has a mix of Production and Development type contracts as well as Other Transaction Agreements (OTA’s).


    Required Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of related experience.
    • Excellent presentation, team-building and leadership skills, with the ability to perform in a complex cross-functional business environment.
    • Ability to effect and manage change.
    • Motivational and visionary leadership skills, including the ability to recognize and develop emerging leadership talent.
    • Experienced in the entire life cycle of prime and subcontract contracting, from proposal phase to contract closeout.
    • Well versed in the following types of contracts:
    • Commercial, DOD Cost type, Firm Fixed Price, T&M, and Services Contracts.
    • Fluent with FAR, DFAR.
    • At least 5 years of managing and developing contracting professionals; preferably experience in managing other contract managers.
    • Excellent writing skills a must, with a clear understanding of contract formation principles.
    • This position requires the ability to pass a Special Background Investigation. Position requires at least a Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI level clearances.

    Pay Information
    Full-Time Salary Range: $128100 - $217800

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
