Contracts Administration Director is responsible for all activities in the organization's contracts administration function. Oversees the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and the administration of contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Director directs and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Additionally, Contracts Administration Director leads negotiations for complex or high-value contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to senior management. The Contracts Administration Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Contracts Administration Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. We are searching for a Medical Records Specialist to perform diversified duties both within and in support of the VNA Medical Record Department. Answer telephone requests for patient information. Review patient record to determine if content is protected and if so, ensure patient authorization for approved release. Prepare and scan all discharged records daily. Perform audits and complete corrections of inaccurate data in data system. Determine physician and clinician record completion status and provide him/her with notification of need for chart completion. Serve as a resource to physicians and clinicians by answering their questions related to missing medical record documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable hospital policies including HIPAA and General Laws of Massachusetts with regard to the release and use of confidential patient information and when appropriate, request the patient complete an authorization form to request copies of medical records
