Contracts Administration Director jobs in York, PA

Contracts Administration Director is responsible for all activities in the organization's contracts administration function. Oversees the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and the administration of contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Director directs and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Additionally, Contracts Administration Director leads negotiations for complex or high-value contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to senior management. The Contracts Administration Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Contracts Administration Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     • Responsible for administrative functions relating to the interpretation of customer contractual requirements and the dissemination of pertinent information necessary to process the work to meet contractual obligations.
    • Inform the customer regarding contract status and to ensure that billings are promptly issued.
    • Ensure a smooth flow of contractually required information is made to all internal disciplines and to the customer.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential for this position.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related major, or equivalent specialized training, knowledge, and experience.
    • Two (2) to three (3) years general business or contract-related experience
    • Must have working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft applications, including MS Project
    • Basic to working knowledge of contracting concepts, Uniform Commercial Code, applicable international law, or public contract acquisitions law and regulations.
