Contracts Administration Manager prepares and administers bids, proposals, and commercial and government contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Manages the contracts administration staff and guides compliance with complex contractual and regulatory requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Manager negotiates with suppliers, partners, or customers. Ensures contracts are administered and monitored to maintain compliance with the terms of agreements. Additionally, Contracts Administration Manager has a strong understanding of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to a director. The Contracts Administration Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Contracts Administration Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Listed in order of relevance:

    • Review and negotiate non-standard terms and conditions of commercial contracts with customer's internal departments (purchasing/ contracting/ legal and outside counseling). Identify and allocate risk in accordance with company policies, providing commercially viable solutions.
    • Update the company’s Contracts Database when a contract is negotiated and signed: (1) abstracting relevant terms from contracts to provide key point information; (2) entering of data; (3) arranging notifications of expiration dates of framework agreements.
    • Ensure that all purchase orders follow proper export compliance regulations.
    • Assist in the analysis of other contractual documents such as non-disclosure agreements.
    • Perform other functions as assigned by management as needed.
    • Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college in related discipline and Law Degree required.
    • 2-4 years contracts management and negotiation experience in the legal or sales field.
    • Knowledge of commercial contracting principles and general corporate business practices.

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    • Effective organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize workloads, to work independently and as a member of a team.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical skills, critical thinker.
    • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office products.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior level managers, clients, and customers.
    • Proven problem-solving ability. Ability to deal with abstract concepts.
    • Ability to read, speak, and write in English required.
