Contracts Administration Manager prepares and administers bids, proposals, and commercial and government contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Manages the contracts administration staff and guides compliance with complex contractual and regulatory requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Manager negotiates with suppliers, partners, or customers. Ensures contracts are administered and monitored to maintain compliance with the terms of agreements. Additionally, Contracts Administration Manager has a strong understanding of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to a director. The Contracts Administration Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Contracts Administration Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. We are seeking a Contracts Manager for our Corporate office. Paralegals with contract review and legal research experience are encouraged to apply. 

    This position does not require you to practice law. 

     

     

    Duties/Responsibilities:

     

    • Review, respond, revise and assist with issuance of contracts following a pre-determined set of conditions to be applied.  Procure compliant certificates of insurance from third party insurer.
    • Research and provide information on matters that may include employment issues, safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, workers’ compensation issues, liability and insurance matters, and other documents.
    • Assist with reviewing safety-related incident reports and ensuring coordinated document retention as may be needed.
    • Draft documents and correspondence for review and implementation by the President.
    • Maintain corporate minute books with the assistance of third party.
    • Reviews terms and conditions, user agreement, leases, and other documents relating to software, equipment, etc. propose protective revisions, response.
    • Work with third party legal when needed to conclude legal matters.
    • Update client vendor portals with current certificates of insurance, OSHA data and other data as requested by client.
    • Maintain and track current business certifications including Women’s Business, Small Business and Disadvantaged Business certifications, state licenses to do business, and other required registrations for which an established process already exists.
    • Works with cross-functional teams.
    • Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    • 2 plus years relevant experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Law or equivalent education/experience
    • Experience in paralegal assistance preferably in a corporate environment
    • Experience reviewing contracts and legal research required
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including Teams and Adobe Acrobat Suite
    • Proficiency in research tools a plus
