Contracts Administration Manager prepares and administers bids, proposals, and commercial and government contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Manages the contracts administration staff and guides compliance with complex contractual and regulatory requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Manager negotiates with suppliers, partners, or customers. Ensures contracts are administered and monitored to maintain compliance with the terms of agreements. Additionally, Contracts Administration Manager has a strong understanding of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to a director. The Contracts Administration Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Contracts Administration Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Role at a Glance

    We are excited to bring on a Contracts Supervisor to our Group Protection Operations Team.

    Background Details

    As the Contracts Supervisor, you will provide leadership, coaching and development to your team of contracts analysts who create and amend insurance policies and agreements. You will be responsible for managing and creating an environment that supports the customer-centric strategy, vision, and priorities of the organization.     What you'll be doing
    • Oversee the hiring, training, and development of a team of contracts analysts.
    • Supervise the daily administration of new business contracts, amendments, and/or account change requests in an accurate, timely, and efficient
    manner for assigned areas.
    • Reviews the day-to-day operations of assigned area(s) of responsibility, including, but not limited to, ensuring workloads are appropriately balanced among team members.
    • Maintains utmost accuracy in inventory allocation and reporting; identifying issues, trends, and concerns, to more senior management for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Monitors and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards for assigned
    area(s) of responsibility.
    • Aids in setting team priorities and performance goals.
    • Ensures that top talent is hired and retained.
    • Ensures that all service, quality, and production levels for assigned area(s) are successfully met or exceeded.
    • Provides guidance on contract changes requiring a higher level of technical expertise.
    • Reviews and resolves escalated issues and concerns with a sense of urgency. Escalates issues to more senior management as needed.
    • Ensures processes are well documented, addressing issues of concerns expeditiously. Identifying and leading process improvements.
    • Ensures team is appropriately trained to process new business, amendments, and/or account change requests.
    • Ensures that processes are followed in accordance with internal controls and that data is appropriately managed per LFG corporate data privacy
    standards.
    What we’re looking for
    Must-haves:
    • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
    • 3 Years Client Customer Support and Operations that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 1 years of
    • managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience (Required)
    Nice-to-haves:
    • Strong understanding of group insurance industry knowledge and principles.
    • Prior experience in managing high volumes of inventory.
    • Ability to balance technical aspect (system, customer, broker) and ability to lead a team.
    • Ability to prioritize and continuously improve processes, procedures, systems, and the team.

    Pay Range: $53,500 - $92,500

    Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
