Contracts Administrator - Construction jobs in Elk Grove, CA

We are looking for a responsible AR Specialist to join our team. Your main duties will be to maintain and prepare billing and collect payment on receivables. A successful AR Specialist with contract compliance experience will demonstrate a strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain compliance withvarious contracts. You should review contracts to understand compliance requirements and ensure that the company provides reporting in a timely manner as well as bill customers in the manner identified by the contracts.

• Review contract to identify reporting, insurance and legal requirements based on contract terms, includes but not limited to procuring bid bonds, submitting liens, submitting DAS140/141, etc.• Prepare Accounts Receivable and billing statements.• Ensure that Accounts Receivable transactions are recorded accurately and assigned to the appropriate projects and departments.• Collaborates with the Project Managers to ensure the progress billing is accurate.• Ensures billings and receivables are correctly processed in a timely manner.• Maintain organized system of physical and digital records.• Review insurance requirements and comply with providing Certificates of Insurance.• Complete and submit prequalification applications to various General Contractors.• Ad hoc projects as assigned.

• Proven work experience as a Contract Administrator, Accounts Receivable, or relevant role within the construction industry.• Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts.• Pre-liens and Certified Payroll and Prevailing Wage and Change Orders and Certificates of Insurance.• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable procedures.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors.• Strong customer service for internal and external customers.• Applicants should usually have at least 5 years of work experience as a Contract Administrator or in another contracting role. • BS degree in Business Administration and additional qualifications in law are a plus.

• Self motivated, shows initiative.• Practices time management, problem solving and organizational skills.

• Computer literacy skills (Quickbooks & Sage 100 required).

• Experience using Excel (skill level higher than beginner required).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,052.00 - $75,229.00 per year
