Contracts Administrator - Construction jobs in Lancaster, PA

Internal Studio Support & Project Development:  

• Foster clear and efficient communication among internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. Provide prompt updates on project advancement and address any construction-related inquiries. 
• Conduct Site Surveys to field dimension existing conditions and work with designer to develop as built that will then be utilized for design.  
• Effectively assign tasks to production staff while providing guidance and collaborating in executing tasks. 
• Act as a liaison between SHG and the General Contractor, particularly for turn-key projects, ensuring seamless communication. 
• Assist in monitoring construction budgets and schedules, alerting the team to any potential delays or cost overruns. 
• Conduct thorough Quality Control (QC) checks on drawing sets before their release, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards. 
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and construction drawing.

$70,000 - $80,000 yearly

• Collaborate with clients, architects, general contractors, dealers, fabricators, and manufacturers, addressing inquiries that arise throughout the Construction Administration (CA) process from design completion to project opening.
• Handle Requests for Information (RFIs), working closely with the internal project designer and project manager for seamless coordination. 
• Review submittals and shop drawings, coordinating effectively with the internal project designer and project manager. 
• Participate in Discipline Coordination Meetings, ensuring effective collaboration with MEP/ Interiors / Architect teams. 
• Attend Construction Kick Off Meetings.
• Conduct punch inspections, compile detailed reports, and facilitate resolutions as needed. 
• Compile comprehensive Project Close-Outs to ensure the successful completion and handover of the project.

Qualifications:

• The role entails occasional travel, typically involving one significant out-of-state trip per week, along with a few local trips within reasonable driving distances. The frequency of travel may vary, and there could be weeks with no travel requirements.  
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, or a related field. 
• Proven experience in construction administration, particularly in the context of food service or commercial design. 
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, acknowledging the significance of effectively addressing challenges that may arise throughout the construction process. 
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Revit a plus but not required. 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
