Contracts Administrator - Construction jobs in Topeka, KS

Description:

• Read and interpret construction plans to create supply estimates
• Will be required to run some construction administration responsibilities (report writing, assist with estimates, etc)
• Look into bid wire and other leads to identify new work-call leads to get bid approval and receive set of plans. Review plans with estimating team.
• Effectively use AutoCAD software to design 3-D commercial and multi-family models
• Create loose lumber quotes for commercial builders
• Create ship lists ready for delivery
• Diagnose errors within construction plans and problem-solve solutions, communicate solutions and suggestions to partners
• Routine design edits and customizations based on customer specifications
• Work alongside many of the top custom builders in the KC metro area
• Responsible for order placement, general sales information and product requirements, pricing, delivery coordination
• Maintaining and growing existing customer base through prospecting, sales account development, quoting and customer follow up
• Sourcing special order items for our contractors
• Ensuring all customer sales orders are imputed complete and accurate
• Scheduling and answering question regarding deliveries for customers

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must have:

• 1 year of construction estimating or internship experience
• 1 year working in MS project or excel
• B.S. or associates degree in CM is preferred
• Attention to detail
• Understanding cost of price and material
