NMI Industrial is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager. The Contracts Manager supports the Chief Operating Officer, Project Managers, and Division Managers of the Company's various project resource groups. This position ensures compliance with contracts, labor, prevailing wage, insurance certification renewals, conducts contract risk reviews, provides pertinent data and information for proposals, project submittals, and deliverables. The Contracts Manager is an office-based position at the company headquarters in Sacramento, California.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years experience reviewing and managing contracts and ensuring compliance.
- Knowledge of construction contracts: types of contracts, terms and conditions, legal requirements, and the negotiation process.
- 2 to 4-year degree in business or a related field is a plus
- Experience in a construction, engineering, or professional services organization preferred.
- Ability to read legal documents and understand general contract terms and conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Levelset, DocuSign, and G-Suite.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Competent in verbal and written communications.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a variety of unique and diverse people and personalities.
Duties:
- The Contracts Manager supports the COO, Project Managers, and Department Managers of the Company's various project resource groups.
- This position ensures compliance with contracts, labor, prevailing wage, insurance certification renewals, conducts contract risk reviews, provides pertinent data and information for proposals, project submittals, and deliverables.
- Provides contract risk reviews for new projects; reviews for standard inclusions and exclusions, monitors language, and flags any areas of risk for review by PMs.
- Processes contracts.
- Directly trains, mentors, and develops other operations team members.
- Prepares subcontractor, and sub-consultant agreements.
- Assists Project Managers with drafting scopes of work, contract amendments, and providing contract negotiation support.
- Maintains company contract templates.
