    Description

    Job Description:

    The Controller will be responsible for revenue audit operations, including the analysis of gaming activities and will ensure compliance with internal controls, State and Federal regulations. Responsibilities also include overseeing the Count Operations Department, which includes drop and cash counting operations and the Cage Department, which includes the cage, vault and money room. This position also structures all money handling departments and supports department/teams, to provide sound and efficient daily operation.

    Job Requirements:

    • Manage and direct the accounting activities related to gaming and non-gaming operations, including Slots, Table Games, Poker, Keno and Food & Beverage through posting general ledger.
    • Complete monthly Financials for department managers, executives, & corporate.
    • Perform analytical reviews of gaming operations focusing on compliance with MICS, the State Compact and computations of theoretical and actual win.
    • Develop, direct and perform analyses of various promotions, gaming operations for the financial impact.
    • Act as a finance liaison with gaming and food & beverage operations to ensure clear and effective communications.
    • Assist in monitoring gaming compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and Informational Reporting to IRS.
    • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in performing all aspects of the assigned responsibilities.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    • Four (4) year degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
    • Six (6) years of accounting or internal audit experience in a casino property required.
    • Three (3) years supervisory experience required.
    • Three (3) years’ experience in working with MICS and Title 31 in a gaming jurisdiction.

    • Must be 21 years of age.
    • Ability to promptly respond to common inquiries, complaints, or requests from various internal and external parties in a professional manner.
    • Ability to compose detailed, concise and accurate documents, such as reports, policies, procedures, and correspondence.
    • Must possess good organizational skills and be able to multi-task when conducting the assigned functions.
    • Must be willing and able to follow all departmental policies and procedures, as required.
    • Pass pre-employment and random drug screening.
