CONTROLLER

5 years of accounting experience required

For over 80 years, Salvajor, a family-owned manufacturer, has provided quality products and solutions for foodservice operations to manage food waste disposal, improve efficiency and reduce costs. Now we are seeking a dedicated, hands-on self-starter with 5 years of accounting experience to lead accounting and financial management functions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review annual budgets, financial statements, monthly forecasts and operating results with the management team
• Prepare monthly journal entries ensuring the accuracy of financial reports
• Monitor operation costs and profitability, report financial concerns and manage business risks
• Ensure profits and losses are documented accurately
• Effectively implement accounting policies and procedures
• Ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as Controller, Assistant Controller or Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• College degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
• Strong accounting, communication, organizational, analytical, problem solving, and PC skills including MS Word & Excel proficiency
• Attention to detail with the ability to work independently, juggle priorities, prepare accurate management reports, meet deadlines and work effectively with a team-oriented environment
• Self-directed with high ethical standards and work ethic
