    Position Summary

    Reporting to the Spices Vice President of Finance, the Controller will provide financial leadership and support to the Chile business, including the controllership function, financial reporting, and operational analysis.   This team member is the leader and initiator of business and accounting control activities across the function.  The ideal candidate will be charged with challenging the status quo, improving processes, handling multiple tasks accurately, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and helping identify and execute opportunities.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Serve as a strategic Business Partner to multiple facilities.
    • Supervise the day-to-day financial services, including the preparation of the monthly reporting package, and review of consolidated financial statements.
    • Review perpetual inventory, monitor cycle and/or physical inventories, and reporting and analysis of variances.
    • Lead the internal and external audit engagement. Support resolution of issues that arise during audit field work. 
    • Direct the standard cost maintenance, production variance analysis, activity costing, and customer/product profitability.
    • Manage the sites financial reporting including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, and variance analysis on Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
    • Manage new capital project analysis, capital tracking and management.
    • Manage sales analysis and reconciliation, review margin analysis and customer pull rates.
    • Create and modify financial policies to ensure proper internal controls that align and guide the business.
    • Perform ad hoc analysis and scenario models.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. Candidates may substitute five (5) years of prior financial management experience in lieu of degree requirement. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Ten (10) years progressive finance experience is required. Candidates substituting experience in lieu of degree must have a minimum of twelve (12) years of financial experience, including five years in management.
    • Experience with SAP, Tableau, and other integrated reporting solutions is preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
    • Excellent teamwork, relationship building, and coordinative skills are required. Must be able to work with diverse team across geographies.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required.
