Emerald EMS is an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers, focusing on high-reliability electronic assemblies. The Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management at the plant location, including preparation for audits, regulatory and financial reporting, budget preparation, as well as development and maintenance of internal control policies and procedures. The Controller will also serve as a business partner to the location President and will be a member of the senior leadership team for the site.

Responsibilities of the Controller:

• Oversee the location on all accounting related matters.
• Support the site President for financial aspects of strategic decision making.
• Direct and lead the plant location budget/forecast process and report variances.
• Review and publish timely monthly financial statements
• In partnership with the site President, provide detailed financial analysis in connection with the monthly reporting package
• Provide periodic reporting of financial information including flash reporting, cash balances, KPIs, etc.
• Support documentation and testing for annual financial statement audits.

Qualifications of the Controller: 

• BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven working experience as a Controller
• 10 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience in Manufacturing Industry preferred
• ERP implementation experience a plus
• Experience with month-end/year end close process
