A leading power sports and marine products retailer in Red Wing, MN is searching for an experienced Controller to oversee the company’s accounting operations across multiple entities! They are looking for someone with at least 5 years of accounting experience, including time in multi-entity accounting to oversee and ensure the accurate accounting of multiple business entities and holding companies in the retailer/consumer goods industry. Pay Range: $90,000 - $130,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting operations including financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, and budget preparation
• Manage treasury functions across multiple main entities and additional holding companies
• Ensure accuracy in sales tax submissions, journal entries, and check signing
• Coordinate with various departments for billing, collections, and other financial activities
• Handle payroll entries and supervise several staff accountants
• Travel out-of-state approximately 3 times a year for business meetings

• 5 years of accounting experience and/or background as an accounting manager
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
• 2 years of multi-entity accounting experience
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with Light speed and QuickBooks online is preferred
• Experience in retail/consumer goods industry is required
• Supervisory experience and CPA or MBA is preferred
• Strong leadership abilities and experience in developing staff

• Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented
• Ability to handle a busy and diverse workload independently while maintaining confidentiality
