Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Real Estate Controller to oversee all aspects of our firms financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial concepts and technical accounting to ensure the company's financial health and compliance.
Duties:
- Manage all accounting operations including General Ledger reconciliation, Accounts Payable, and Technical Accounting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and governmental accounting standards
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven experience as a Real Estate Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of real estate accounting principles and practices
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in accounting software, including Yardi or MRI, and Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience in Financial Management is a plus
