Job Title: Controller

Department: Management

Reports To: Owner

POSITION SUMMARY

Overseeing the daily operations and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely. Developing and maintaining control systems to safeguard the financial assets of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Review invoice registry for accuracy
• Review and approve all debits and credits
• Balance and report inter-company billing monthly
• Review Factor and Payroll reconciliations monthly
• Monthly Pension reconciliation
• Weekly Salary payroll for plant
• Work closely with Accounting firm providing information for quarterly financial statements
• Work closely with Actuary and Accounting firm on annual pension audit and 5500 documents and Actuarial report
• Yearly Pension PBGC filing
• Responsible for the purchase of property, causality, and benefit insurance
• Responsible for filing insurance claims for property and casualty loss
• Work with Human Resources on settlement of Workers Compensation claims
• Government surveys and reporting
• Manage office hourly and salary employees
• Monthly/Year-End close

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in executive management
• Strong leadership qualities
• Cost Accounting Knowledge
• Strong integrity and accountability
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to handle pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum 7 years Accounting Management Experience

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field.
