Description:

BG Signature in North Miami, FL is looking for kitchen staff to join our team at Blue Marlin Fish House! We are located right on the water at the west end of the Oleta River State Park. Our location is called "Fish House" for a reason, and we truly are a hidden treasure out here! We have lots of locals and value our customers like family, as well as one another as staff.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and stock food stations with all necessary supplies each day on opening shifts.
• Chop vegetables, prepare sauces, meats, and other food preparation.
• Cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff and in an efficient, timely manner.
• Work well under pressure in a high volume restaurant.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times.
• Maintain inventory; report to F&B manager weekly needs.
• Dish washing throughout day and end of shift.
• Properly close and sanitize kitchen on closing shifts.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory

Qualifications:

• Cooking experience or restaurant experience is a huge plus.
• Able to meet all scheduling commitments. Includes weekends and holidays,
• Teamwork is HUGE. Must be able to cooperate and work effectively with others in a professional manner, regardless of personal opinions or feelings.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to keep calm under pressure and tolerate high temperatures in the kitchen.
• Mindful of hygiene, cleanliness, and has high standards of food quality.
• Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
• Preference to those with reliable transportation
