Cook - Institution follows a menu to prepare and cook meats, fish, poultry, gravies, cereals, soups, vegetables and other foods for service in an institutional setting. May create and update menus, help with grocery items inventory and kitchen, equipment maintenance. Being a Cook - Institution may require a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Cook - Institution works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. We are a well established family owned and operated business in the farm drainage business. We are looking for reliable help doing general labor duties in a full time position. There is possibility to move into an operator position over time, but we would want you to learn the ground/labor side of the job first. Salary pay is also a possibility for the right employee once proven that they can be depended on. Applicants must have a way to get to our shop in Peck daily and have a valid drivers license. From the shop we take a company vehicle to the job-site daily.
Duties include shoveling, making pipe connections, assisting heavy equipment operation (fine grade and other tasks), and any other general labor tasks when asked. Room for advancement gained through experience.
Applicants should show initiative, be able to work independently and on a team, learn quickly, and be willing to work outside.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
