Cooking Assistant prepares raw ingredients for use in recipes. Washes, chops, stores, and handles ingredients. Being a Cooking Assistant prepares portions of ingredients for workstations. May prepare sauces and garnishes or assist cook with basic recipes. Additionally, Cooking Assistant follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Cooking Assistant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Medical Assistant (Registered or Certified) Key Responsibilities:
1. Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned and within the MA scope of practice. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to vital signs, procedures, patient education and
2. Assist patient in navigating care through the encounter process to minimize ambiguity
3. Accurately document all aspects of patient encounters required for job functions
4. Tracks and document closed loop communication with patients, including but not limited to labs, return calls, refills and more.
5. Communicate with external and internal parties as needed to facilitate continuity of care.
6. Fulfills supportive assignment on time and unprompted. Assignments may include but are not limited performing controls, instrument maintenance, infection control, ordering, sorting, storing supplies, and restocking
7. Patient teaching and care plan support
8. Guard patient privacy and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times
9. Actively participates in QI activities.
10. Participates in staff meetings as required
11. Complete annual competencies within the required period
12. Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone and in writing.
