The Cooking School Manager contributes to the success of maintaining cooking school environments, assisting in sourcing of ingredients/supplies, training teams to consistently deliver the Cooks | Bellecour Experience across all experiences.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

• Be the Lead assistant for three culinary experiences per week
• Collaborate with Chef Instructor and delegate front-of-house and kitchen team tasks to assistants and dishwasher throughout the experience
• Oversight of team completion of pre- and post- experience tasks set up, breakdown, restocking, cleaning, and end of experience reporting
• Manage equipment & ingredient set up per recipe needs
• Deliver high-standard customer service upon guest arrival/check-in and ensure that all needs are met throughout
• Provide clear communication and adhere to safety and sanitation practices of both guests and staff
• Assist Chef Instructor and guests to ensure all recipes are completed on time and to the best of their ability
• Act as the Liaison between Chef Instructor, culinary staff and retail team during the experience
• Lead the On-call communication and coverage with staff for last minute changes

Sourcing:

• Manage communications with Chef Instructor and Food Buyer regarding recipes, food sourcing, equipment and staffing
• Assist Food Buyer in sourcing of ingredients for classes and events for all locations
• Complete weekly Shopventory cycle counts
• Provide multiplier packets, private event summaries and laminated tray recipes for all school experiences for the upcoming week

Kitchen Maintenance and Management:

• Oversee location-specific cleaning and organization checklists
• Complete bi-weekly walkthroughs of cooking school kitchens to maintain cleanliness and organization
• Print all recipe packets for public classes and private events

Experience and Required Qualifications:

• Think and communicate clearly in a fast paced environment
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Food curious
• Deliver a high level of hospitality and customer service
• Reliable transportation
• Weekend and evening availability
• Experience in a kitchen/food centric environment not required but is a plus
