The First Tennessee Development District is accepting applications for a Full Time TYEP Summer Youth Program Coordinator. Duties include implementing and providing oversight for all phases of planning, designing, and delivering high quality programming for the First TN Development District’s (FTDDs) TYEP program. This candidate will create and implement outreach and recruitment strategies to attract eligible participants and businesses, utilizing the TYEP Toolkit, provide orientation, enrollment, and worksite placement for youth, ensure that TYEP participants register in Jobs4TN, and manage the day-to-day operations of the TYEP, including site visits, job-site activities management, participant timesheets, and delivery of payments to youth participants. This candidate will also mediate and resolve issues with participants, parents, businesses, and other stakeholders, as well as consult with the WIOA Program Manager regarding any significant, and/or expected alterations or occurrences, i.e. cancellations, program problems, and incidents. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally, in writing, and electronically. The complexity of the duties requires exceptional flexibility of thought and judgement in the completion of daily activities. Must be able to handle conflict resolution and manage conversations with students, parents, and businesses. Requires a B.S. degree in business, education, or human/social services field. Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree, along with strong leadership and public relations skills. The bi-weekly salary is $1730.96.
