    Position Summary:
    The Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI) is a part of the Susan and Henry College of Health Sciences. The Samueli Institute works to transform healthcare through the practice of integrative health by conducting rigorous research, promoting evidence-based treatment modalities, educating the public on well-being practices, providing individualized, patient-centered clinical care and providing services to the community that focus on obtaining optimal health.
    Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures; research, analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies, programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Develops new programs, policies, or procedures for possible implementation. • From direction of the Fellowship Director, the Fellowship Coordinator, will coordinate all operational and administrative aspects of the program. • The Fellowship Coordinator will serve as a primary contact for the program and will communicate to applicants and students via email, phone, Zoom and Canvas. • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are required. • The Fellowship Coordinator must be able to establish and maintain effective and efficient working relationships with the program faculty. • This position will require exceptional organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects at a time. • The Fellowship Coordinator must be experienced in customer service and comfortable on the phone. At times the Fellowship Coordinator will be required to follow up with various prospective students. • The Fellowship Coordinator must be able to occasionally work after-hours and weekends, as well as be able to travel to represent the program at national conferences.

    The expected pay range for this recruitment is $66,700.00 - $118,500.00 (Annual Salary). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $66,700.00 - $118,500.00 (Annual Salary).

    Required:
    • 3 to 4 years of experience as a higher education administrative professional
    • Knowledge and understanding of medical fellowship programs.
    • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
    • Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality. Analytical / problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
    • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Proficiency in the use of software and technology.
    Preferred:
    • Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.
    • Strong policy analysis techniques.
    Special Conditions Required:
    • The Fellowship Coordinator must be able to occasionally work after-hours and weekends, as well as be able to travel to represent the program at national conferences.
