Copy Editor, MBN Digital

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a talented Copy Editor to write all sorts of copy, edit, fact check, and prepare for online production content for our Elsaha digital platform at our headquarters in Springfield, VA.

The Copy Editor edits all copy and ensures that the tone-of-voice in the written content reflects the brands’ editorial guidelines; as well as ensuring every copy is grammatically correct, elegantly edited, and fact checked to the highest standars to fit the medium.The incumbent writes video scripts, co-produces video series/documentaries, and coordinates with Multimedia Producers, Reporters, Visuals editors & Freelance writers, to provide feedback & ensures editorial processes are adhered to.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: :

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or relevant field.
• A minimum of 3 years' Copy-editing experience in Media.
• Excellent writing ability & command of the Arabic language
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Knowledge of SEO and optimizing content for web and social media.
• Proven experience of working with content management systems (CMS).
• Must be able to accommodate flexible work schedule to support 24/7 news environment.
