    Job Summary: The Digital Workplace Services (DWS) Manager is responsible for the strategy and staff that delivers digital workplace technology and services. This individual ensures teams deliver services with an enablement and business value-centric mindset. The DWS manager is accountable for digital workplace services functions, including operations, governance, enablement and engineering. The DWS manager leads the organization-wide reinvention of the workplace that empowers and engages employees to adopt new technology and increase digital dexterity.

    Adheres to the TCC Ch’eghwtsen’ model of service and guiding principle which requires providing timely and effective service along with the ability to interact with others in a way that inspires trust and demonstrates respect, compassion, and empathy.


    Essential Functions

    Representative Duties:
    Under the general supervision of the Chief Information Officer incumbent will:

    1. Lead the development, publication, and maintenance of the corporate digital workplace architecture, as well as the roadmap for its future development aligned to business requirements.

    2. Develop the DWS organizational functions, roles and responsibilities.

    3. Develop a talent and succession strategy to plan for future changes and needs.

    4. Manage strategic digital workplace technology and services vendors.

    5. Develop and manage the annual DWS budget to ensure it is consistent with overall IT and organization objectives.

    6. Hire, coach, and develop direct reports.

    7. Champion DWS technologies and operations by setting and sharing program goals and measuring and demonstrating impact.

    8. Assist IT Infrastructure and Operations in establishing and testing disaster recovery and business continuity plans for digital workplace technologies.

    9. Maintains currency on new technologies and platforms and provides direction on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated and introduced within DWS to ensure IT capabilities respond to business demands.

    10. Directs the digital workplace operations team focused on fulfilling end-user support and service requests.

    11. Govern digital workplace technology standards, usage and licensing to optimize costs and ensure adherence to data policies.

    Other Responsibilities:

    1. Performs other job related duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications



    Minimum Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, related field, or equivalent work experience.

    2. Proven financial management skills.

    3. Experience in strategic technology planning and policy development.

    4. Working knowledge of IT frameworks such as ITIL including key processes - knowledge, incident, change, service request and major-incident management.

    5. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

    6. Must pass background check pursuant to federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirements and State of Alaska background check.

    Supervision:
    This position provides supervision of the digital workplace operations team within the IT division.

    Physical demands: Job incumbent must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds in support of equipment and supplies. Position requires recurring bending, stooping, kneeling, reading, handling, speaking, hearing, and seeing. Position may require extended periods of standing. May be required to work weekends and evenings. Travel to remote villages required. May be subject to harsh conditions while traveling. Conditions may include but are not limited to the following: travel by unpressurized aircraft, travel by 4WD vehicles, travel by snowmobile, travel by boat, lack of running water or waste facilities, poor heat, and extreme weather conditions.
