    The Financial Manager manages the financial strategies, planning, and budgeting processes for MID (Medical Information Delivery) initiatives. This role requires a unique blend of financial acumen and an understanding of medical information delivery operations to ensure that resources are adequately allocated to protect the organization's digital assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, experience with budgeting, and the ability to work closely with software and application teams to align financial planning with operational objectives.

    Scope of Responsibilities:

    • Prepare monthly financial reports using processes and templates provided by the Division.
    • Monitor and report spending, including variances from the budget, to ensure financial accountability and transparency.
    • Evaluate contractor spend plans and monitor expenditures against them.
    • Maintain a Master Planning Workbook that maintains a Labor Roster and all budgets.
    • Prepare intuitive and comprehensible slide decks for monthly and other recurring briefings with stakeholders.
    • Proactively identify and communicate potential financial issues before they become a problem.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration.
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Proficiency in other financials applications is a plus.
    • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate financial strategies and risks to non-financial stakeholders.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Active DoD SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with at least 2 years focused on cybersecurity or IT budgeting and financial planning.
    • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and challenges, with the ability to translate technical risks into financial concepts.
    • Experience working with Business Intelligence tools to design dashboards, reporting solutions, and data integration.
