As a Corporate Compliance Specialist, you will support the Office of Corporate Compliance by maintaining and administering the CCHS (Cleveland Clinic Health System) Compliance Program. In this role you will have the unique opportunity to identify, prevent, detect, and remediate such non-compliance by ensuring that reported concerns are promptly, thoroughly, and appropriately managed by individual investigators. This includes (but is not limited to) responding to reports of impermissible uses and disclosures of patient information as well as allegations of discrimination, harassment, and other violations in the workplace.
Cleveland Clinic’s Compliance Officer reports directly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. This reporting structure reflects the full support of senior management for the important work being performed by the Compliance office. It allows for escalation of the Board when appropriate to ensure that non-compliance is appropriately addressed.

• Is proficient in researching, understanding, and applying applicable laws and regulations to health care, especially HIPAA Privacy, Security and Breach Notification Rules, Fraud Waste and Abuse laws (e.g., Stark, Anti-Kickback, Civil Monetary Penalties), and EMTALA.
• Has the ability to build good working relationships with people at all levels of the organization and communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Can maintain objectivity and strict confidentiality in the performance of their job duties.
• Can manage and prioritize multiple investigations concurrently and meet established deadlines with little prompting.
• Works well with others and can build trust within a team.
